Job Summary:
The Bartender prepares and serves beverages to customers, creates a welcoming atmosphere, and ensures guests receive prompt and friendly service. The role requires knowledge of drink recipes, cash handling, and adherence to health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Greet customers and take drink and food orders.
- Recommend beverages based on customer preferences.
- Verify customer age and comply with alcohol service laws.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, and work area.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies.
- Process customer payments accurately using cash registers or POS systems.
- Monitor customer behavior and refuse service when necessary.
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of cocktail recipes, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Responsible alcohol service certification (if required by local laws).
